From the Desk of Mr. Allen

Dear Families,

I hope this finds each of you well and if you've been without electricity, we hope your power is restored or will be restored soon! As communicated by the district, if you are without electricity and have any immediate needs for food or shelter, please call United Way of the Bluegrass by dialing 211 for assistance.

We want to thank each of you for supporting our PTA Read-A-Thon, we were $173 away from hitting the $2000 mark on Sunday - WOW!! Don't forget to send in your cash donations and reading logs on our first day back in session as the PTA has prizes for top earners and the top class, but also a certificate for every scholar who logged even one book which can be redeemed at the Explorium for free entry. A huge thanks to our PTA for their support!

Thank you for your continued support and partnership!

Update

Fayette County Public Schools remain closed on Tuesday, March 7, for a third school day because of continued power outages and storm cleanup. Friday night’s high winds left considerable damage in Lexington. This is another school cancellation – not an NTI weather day – so there are no classes for students.

Any FCPS student may pick up free, boxed breakfasts and lunches between 11 a.m. and noon Tuesday at any of the locations below.

Misses & Muffins RESCHEDULED FOR MARCH 23rd

In light of the current situation, we have made the decision to reschedule Misses & Muffins. We understand that many still do not have electricity, and we do NOT want this to be an extra burden on families. Therefore, Misses & Muffins will be rescheduled for Thursday, March 23rd @ 7:15 a.m. We look forward to seeing you then!

Please use this LINK to take you to the updated SMORE! We have extended the registration to March 15th. If there are no changes to your original registration, no further action is needed.

PBIS (Positive Behavior Interventions & Supports) Parent Survey (Repeat)

Parents/Guardians:

We want to hear about your experience with your student’s education. We invite you to participate in completing the School Climate Survey. This survey includes questions about your student’s learning, school safety, and interpersonal relationships, as well as your attitudes about the institutional environment and your personal involvement in school. Your responses will be very helpful in improving student relationships, learning conditions, and the overall school environment.

Beginning today, (February 21, 2023), we invite all parents, guardians and caretakers to complete this survey for our school. The survey is completely anonymous and brief; it contains 18 questions and takes about 10-15 minutes to complete. You can take the survey online by using the following unique school link: (https://forms.gle/MyFzPWtttvsfZ2G27). Please submit your responses by March 7, 2023.

All your responses are completely anonymous. We have no way to connect you to your answers, and results will only be reported as group responses. The results will be shared with our PBIS team and staff. There are no right or wrong answers. We just want to know about your personal experiences.

As you respond to each item, think about your own personal experiences as a parent, caregiver or guardian at your student’s school. Please answer all of the questions, or your answers won’t be recorded, but you can mark “I prefer not to answer” if you don’t want to answer a question about you.

We hope you will take the time to provide us with this valuable information. Feel free to call our office at (859)381-4670 if you have any questions. Each school’s total survey results will be used to inform and develop appropriate strategies, procedures, and/or programs to enhance our school climate.

The link to complete the survey is: https://forms.gle/MyFzPWtttvsfZ2G27

Thank you for your time and participation!
