Take Responsibility, Always Growing, Better Together
May 5, 2023
Message From Me
Good Afternoon,
Tapping into the power of appreciation is important because it motivates people. So this week I have done my best to celebrate many for what they do at Jerome. I hope you take some time to look at the pictures and short descriptions of those highlighted! It is a true sign of the wonderful learning community that we have created together.
A celebration I want to highlight here is the most recent Niche.com rankings for 2023. Niche is the market leader in connecting colleges and schools with students and families. They create in-depth profiles on every school and college in America. Niche's tools utilized by realtors and families to research and learn about communities.
In their latest release Dublin City Schools and Dublin Jerome demonstrates the quality of educational experience we provide. Thank you for all the help and support you give to Jerome to make it one of the best in the area, state and nation!
Here are some highlights as well as the link above if you would like to explore more.
- #92 Best District in America, #5 in Ohio, #1 in Columbus
- #163 Best Public High School in America, #2 in Ohio, #1 in Columbus
- #180 Best College Prep High School in America, #1 in Ohio and Columbus
An important component to our success is the staff at Jerome. Next week we will celebrate them with a Staff Appreciation Week. I know it would mean a lot as we enter the last 3 weeks of school if you would reach out and thank a staff member of Jerome that has had an impact on your student or family. It will be the energy boost they need to finish strong!
Thank you for all that you do to help make Jerome a special place!
Enjoy the sunshine this weekend!
Better Together,
Mike
Thank A Staff Member
This week we had some awesome students thank some staff members at our monthly meeting.
"Coasting Into Summer"
If you are wondering about our theme, "Coasting Into Summer" I wanted to share one of our students awesome talents. Gavin Wolf is a 9th grader here at Jerome and for Christmas, Gavin gave me an awesome laser etched coaster he did himself--see images below.
It was so great that I asked him if he would do one for each of the staff. This past week he delivered them and we gave them to staff at our Wednesday Staff Meeting. He did an amazing job! If you are looking for a cool gift and want to support one of our students, Check out Gavin's Etsy page.
Thanks Gavin for sharing your talent and passion with us!

A young orphan and his mates are shipped off from Victorian England to a distant island ruled by the evil King Zarboff. They know nothing of the mysterious trunk in the captain’s cabin, which contains a precious, otherworldly cargo.
At sea, the boys are discovered by a precocious young girl named Molly, a Starcatcher-in-training who realizes that the trunk’s precious cargo is starstuff, a celestial substance so powerful that it must never fall into the wrong hands. CELTS, LEAVE YOUR MARK AT DUBLIN JEROME WITH A COMMEMORATIVE BRICK
With the new addition to Dublin Jerome High School, the commemorative brick patio is also getting some additions… your personalized Celtic Brick. The current brick patio was installed in 2014 to celebrate the 10-year anniversary of the DJHS as a gift from that year’s senior class. Who knew that less than 10 years later, we would need the current additions to accommodate the incredible growth in our schools? The original patio will be relocated to the front of the school near the new school addition in the summer of 2023. The relocation allows us to add additional bricks to complement the original memorial bricks.
This is your opportunity to purchase a beautiful, engraved brick paver to celebrate and memorialize students, alumni, school team, club, organization, or your favorite teacher in a meaningful and unique way that is forever set in stone.
Fill out the information below to purchase your Celt Brick and then don’t forget to come to see your commemorative brick during the grand opening of the school next fall.
4x8 bricks are $100 and can have up to 4 lines with up to 21 characters per line (Recommended: 3 lines, 18 characters). All proceeds go directly to the PTO to support all students and teachers at Dublin Jerome.

Students and families should participate in the grade level in which the student will be enrolled for the 23-24 school year.
