25 March 2022 Newsletter
Rosehill College
From the Principal,
Tēnā koutou katoa,
The schedule for learning from home continues from Monday 28 March:
Mondays - Year 12 students learn from home; all other year levels attend school.
Tuesdays - Year 13 students learn from home; all other year levels attend school.
Wednesdays - Year 11 students learn from home; all other year levels attend school.
Thursdays - Year 10 students learn from home; all other year levels attend school.
Fridays - Year 9 students learn from home; all other year levels attend school.
While the student attendance has increased to about 80% this week, we still have a large number of staff away from school. The learning from home roster will continue until we are sure that we can staff all year levels safely. As teachers of the rostered home students will be supervising classes of teachers who are away, it is not possible for Google Meets to happen for the learn from home students. However, when teachers have a class that will be rostered home, they set the work for that day in the previous lesson, so instructions may be to continue with or finish the work that has been started.
We have uploaded Progress Reports this afternoon. Please note that the grades were recorded and accurate as at 14 March and there may have been changes in attendance since. Also, if there is a blank entry for a subject, it will be because the teacher has been absent during the time when the reports were being produced. If you have any questions, please contact your son or daughter’s Head of House.

REMINDER: Phishing emails & internet security
There have been recent phishing emails sent to users at the college.
These emails attempt to gather user information and passwords for identity theft and other nefarious purposes. Usually, phishing emails attempt to gain access to a user's password by requesting that they sign-in to an account. Please do not click to open a link within, or attached to an email, unless you are expecting the information and know the sender. If in doubt, and the email appears to be from someone at the college, please call or check with the individual to verify that the email is authentic.
If students believe they have been a victim of a phishing email they should contact our NewEra Technician in person.
