Thoughts from Dr. Voelkl
Meet the Teacher
Deep thoughts from SCB.....
Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.
For the Richard's Family, Landon and Lilly on the loss of their grandmother.
PLEASE share your prayers requests with us by emailing email@example.com with NEWSLETTER written in the subject line. We would love to include them in our weekly newsletter.
THANK YOU to Mr. Bredensteiner and Mr. Koepke for hanging our "mailboxes" outside the teacher classrooms as well as cubbies in 2nd and 3rd grade. These were installed to help decrease the flow of traffic through the hallways and into the Main Office.
THANK YOU to Mr. Barteau and Mrs. Sievers for helping us with MANY of our needs related to cleaning, sanitizing and disinfecting.
THANK YOU to Mr. and Mrs. Santel for helping paint many areas of the building over the summer months.
THANK YOU to Ms. Reed ...now Mrs. Floyd, Ryan Jones, graduate, and our new tech coordinator Luan for assisting with ALL of your tech needs.
THANK YOU to Mrs. Theresa Maher and all of the parents who assisted with our used uniform sale.
THANK YOU to all OF OUR PARENTS and FAMILIES who so warmly welcomed us back on first week of school.
THANK YOU to our Maintenance staff for keeping our school clean and sanitized! We really appreciate you Pam, Jimmy, and Vernon!!!
BACK TO SCHOOL BOOTCAMP
VIRTUAL LEARNING UPDATES
We also learned that Google has had some major difficulties and outages this week, and that is something that is out of our hands. With all the virtual learning that has taken place in the world, Google has decided to roll out many updates. Some have taken place and there are still a variety of updates that are scheduled to happen between now and November. One thing we have discovered is that our teachers can not record their Google Meet live lesson if they are not the FIRST ones on the session. If you discover that you are on before your teacher, there is a good chance the teacher will ask you to get off and rejoin after them.
Looking for ways to get involved...
Saint Charles Borromeo has COUNTLESS ways for families to become involved in our community. Every PARENT is an honorary member of our Home and School organization. This organization, as well as our School Board and Athletic Association are often seeking new members to serve as Board Members and / or heads of various committees. As these roles become available we will share additional details with everyone. This year is an AUCTION YEAR which also means countless additional ways to get involved with this event. If you are interested in becoming involved in this event please contact Jill Kessler at firstname.lastname@example.org
If at any time you have NEW ideas or ways for us to grow and come together as a community PLEASE feel free to share with us!

SCRIP- Learn more here!
Essentially, it is FREE MONEY for our parish and school. The concept is simple. We purchase gift cards (SCRIP) from popular retailers, grocers, and restaurants at a discount of their face value. We then sell those cards at face value, leaving behind a small chunk of profit for the church and school.
How Can I Participate? Click the link below to find out!
NEW THIS YEAR! YOU MUST SIGN UP FOR BASK!
We need to be able to properly staff BASK. Due to Covid, we have limited spots due to our staffing. It is VERY important to sign up as early as possible. Please try to avoid signing up the day of, but we do know that there are times that it can't be avoided.
Please send any changes or correspondence related to BASK to email@example.com. This email is accessible by all BASK supervisors. Additionally, please drop a note to this email address if someone other than the typical pick up person is picking up. This helps us keep track of dismissal changes and keeps our kids safe.
****As a reminder, we prefer you pay with a check. If you need to pay with cash please contact the main office to discuss the process this year, as it needs to be adjusted due to Covid. Do NOT hand cash to the BASK workers, they do not have a place to lock it up.
