Avon East Monthly News
November 2022
October was a busy month full of lots of fun!
On Monday, October 28th, I loved seeing students in their costumes. Recess was a blast as Mrs. Lynn, Mrs. Joseph and I conducted "mascot races" as Onion, Ketchup, and Mustard. We were tied going into the final race of the day when Onion was able to pull away with the championship. This day was special and memorable for us and I hope your child enjoyed the races :)
Our Boosters Trunk or Treat was AMAZING! I was absolutely WOW'd by the trunks and the participation. Thank you to our Boosters volunteers, parent volunteers, and our families for attending. It is truly one of my most favorite events that we do at East.
I'm sure this month will fly by as the others have! I look forward to seeing our second graders on the big Performing Arts Center stage for their music concert in early December. They've been practicing so hard and Miss Shannon has a way of getting the very best out of her students and putting on fabulous shows!
Personally, I find great joy in the Holiday season and I'm admittedly one of those people who start my Christmas decorating early in November. I genuinely love the magic of Christmas :) We want the same for you- so if you need help this Holiday season or can offer help to families to help make their holidays magical- please reach out to Mrs. Joseph (see below).
I want to continue to thank you for your support and kindness. I love seeing all the parents and family members in the building for centers, mystery readers, and SOAR cart! We couldn't do what we do without you!
With gratitude,
Ms. Erin Holzhauer, Principal

*If your child is switching to a car rider for the day- please send in a written note to your child's teacher.
We ask that if you are picking your child up from the front office at 3:15 or earlier that it be for appointments or emergencies only. Otherwise, please use our car rider line. If you need a car tag, we can send one home with your child- just write a note and send in $1 to your teacher.
