We had a great week with families joining us for the Veterans Day Program, Literacy Night, and the Turkey Trot. Students loved having their families run with them. The Book Fair was a success and students will be able to look through catalogs and circle what books or maker space items they want to be added to the library. We appreciate your support and contributions.
We are holding a yearbook cover contest. Students can submit their design for a cover of our very first yearbook to the front office by Nov. 18th. A winner from each grade level will be printed on the back cover. The entry should be 8 1/2 by 11. Excited to see our creators at work.

Career Fair: Nov. 19th
We are having our first career Fair at Tarvin on Friday, November 19th from 8-9:30. We thank all of the parents who have volunteered to present to our students about their careers! Students are encouraged to dress up as what they might want to be when they grow up. We look forward to learning about all of the possible career opportunities and seeing what careers they are interested in!
Tarvin Giving Tree
Starting November 11, PTA is partnering with the Hill Country Christmas Bureau (HCCB) to provide gifts for children in need across Leander ISD this holiday season. Starting next Thursday, during Literacy Night, please stop by our Tarvin Giving Tree, to pick up a donation card to sponsor a child/toy donation. All gifts will be due by December 9 in front of the tree. We’ll then share them with the HCCB for preparation and delivery!
You may turn in your donation next to our Giving Tree (see labeled box) as well as purchase items via their Amazon wishlist. We just ask that those who donate through Amazon, to please type what campus they are donating from so we are better able to keep track of our campus donations.
Cards will be available on a first come first serve basis.

Thanksgiving Lunch
We were hopeful that we could invite our families to join us for Thanksgiving Lunch. Due to limited staff in our CNS Department, we are only able to provide lunch for our Tarvin students. In addition, out of an abundance of caution for the health and safety of all our students and staff, we will not be permitting visitors to come for our Thanksgiving lunch on November 19th. Leander Clothes Closet
The Leander Clothes Closet is a critical resource that provides gently used school clothing and brand-new underwear and socks to our students residing in our school district. This month, we’d love your help collecting the following items the LISD Clothes Closet has said are urgently needed.
