A Message from Mireles
The energy throughout the building was undeniable! Students, teachers and staff alike were in such great spirits and ready to be back. We cannot thank you enough for all your efforts as we continue to kick off a new school year.
Thank you for embracing Patriot POWER! The next five weeks we will focus on "Purpose," through morning announcements. Help us to weave the idea of one's purpose throughout your teaching opportunities.

Club Rush in Library all day
Thank you Club sponsors!! Please see below!
- Be sure info is correct in the above spreadsheet.
- Send one simple SLIDE of what your club entails to christian.williams@nisd.net ,it should include day/time/place. Please send by Wednesday @ noon.
- The combined slides highlighting clubs at RMS will be shown this Thursday during Social Studies classes.
- On Friday, Pam is opening the library for a "Club Rush" all day.
- All advisory classes will go by and check out what clubs have to offer.
- IDEA: It would be AMAZING if your club could have a hand out for them to take or even a tri-fold or poster board of pictures etc. etc. for students to see. (You probably already have one from 6th grade transition Club Rush--use that one.) We'd like this to be a showcase event so put a couple kids on the job-- they usually do the best work.
- Also, if you'd like to invite 7/8 grade club members to sit at the tables in the library to talk about the club during their lunch, that would be great as well.
- 7th/8th graders will be allowed to visit the library during their lunch.
- ALL CLUBS should begin by the week of September 9th.
TTESS SLO GOALS DUE
Please take some time this week during PLCs to write a SMART goal related to the Campus Improvement Plan. At faculty learning on September 10th, we will review SLO goals and how to upload them into Frontline. They will need to be uploaded by Friday September 13th.
Thank you!
Kim

People Power
“Medical research shows that laughter increases adrenaline, oxygen flow, and pulse rate. After these heightened responses, the body is more relaxed, and people can use this calm feeling to promote sociability and better learning.”
