Kindergarten registration will be May 12, 13, & 14. More information will be provided in the coming weeks.
We do need to have all families fill out their annual intent to return forms. It should be filled out whether you are returning or not returning. It can be reached at the button below.
Please click the button above to go to the form. Please fill out as soon as possible with what you expect to happen for the next school year. One form per family. Thank you to all the families that have already filled this out!

It is National Library Week!

April is National Library Month! Since you can’t visit one in person, check out the great online libraries to which we have access on the Thayer Library web site Virtual Learning Resources Page.
Also, don’t forget I am doing a live online storytime on the Thayer Elementary Facebook page every Tuesday and Thursday at 3:00. If you can’t make it to the live story time, you can always watch them later at your convenience.

There are virtual field trips to go on, books you can read online, games you can play to practice reading skills, and strategy games for my LEAD group - or anyone who wants to print out games to play. If you email me, I can send you a code for a free EPIC subscription (online reading books). If any parents of my reading students want individual reading together online, please email me. firstname.lastname@example.org
Scholastic Book Orders: I will continue to place book orders. When they come in, I will bag them and leave them in the office lobby and let you know they are there. My code is GKK4J

Video and Telephone Counseling Now Available
Continue your progress at home so you can keep moving forward
The Military and Family Life Counseling Program is here for you during the coronavirus disease 2019 pandemic. We now offer telephone and video non-medical counseling in addition to face-to-face non-medical counseling.
Who is eligible?
Free and con dential non-medical counseling is available to service members, Department of Defense expeditionary civilians, their families and survivors.
Child and youth behavioral counselors are available to support children and youth up to age 18. They also offer guidance to families, staff and support personnel.
What can I expect from non-medical counseling?
Your Military and Family Life counselor can help with:
• Managing stress and changes at home due to COVID-19 • Adjusting to deployment and reintegration
• Preparing to move or adjusting after a move
• Strengthening relationships
• Managing problems at work
• Grieving the death of a loved one or colleague
