Middle Level Testing: Chromebook Information (7th/8th Grade)
Please be sure all 7th and 8th grade students leave their Chromebooks at school during the M-STEP testing periods, specifically during the weeks of April 29 - May 3 and May 6 - 10. Students should also be sure to leave their chargers at school during these times. Thank you for your cooperation!
iReady Reports
Students will bring home their i-Ready reports for Math and ELA on Friday, April 12. Remember to ask your child for these important updates.
For more insights on supporting your student's i-Ready journey, visit the i-Ready Family Center. Here, you'll find helpful information to interpret the diagnostic reports and answers to common questions.
8th Grade Scheduling (Current 7th Graders)
On Tuesday, April 16, Mrs. MacDonald, a group of 8th-grade teachers, and our 8th-grade counselors will be at the middle school to assist our incoming 8th-graders (current 7th graders) with their scheduling and provide a brief orientation.
If there are any questions regarding 8th-grade scheduling, please contact Mrs. MacDonald or Mr. Ray, our 8th-grade counselor.
Student Voice Survey Reminder
As a reminder students in grades 5th, 7th, 9th and 11th grade will be taking part in the MI Student Voice Perception Survey on Friday, April 19. We encourage all students to take part in the survey, as we hope to gather a lot of important information on their experiences.
Participation is voluntary. Students may skip any question they do not wish to answer. Students may stop participating in the survey at any point without penalty.
If you want to opt out of having your child participate in the survey, please complete the online opt-out by April 17, at 3 p.m.
Student Council Applications Open for 8th-11th Grade!
Student Council is an opportunity for students to lead, plan, and execute school events with guidance from an adult facilitator. Membership is a privilege, contingent on adhering to a Code of Conduct. Members are expected to be actively involved, attending all events and fulfilling the responsibilities outlined in their job descriptions. Collaboration within committees is essential to ensure the group's success. A minimum GPA of 2.5 is required for participation.
For more details, download the StuCo Election Packet or contact Mrs. Teske or Brie Cummings.
Applications will be sent to all 8th-11th grade students on April 8, and due by April 26. Don't miss this chance to make a difference at your school!
2023-2024 Electronic Device Policy for State Testing
Before our state test administration, district and building assessment coordinators must communicate a policy for using electronic devices by students and staff during testing.
During testing, the Michigan Department of Education does not allow students to have electronic devices with them (including wearable technology like FitBits, Apple watches, etc.). Please make sure you take the time to review our Electronic Device Policy for the 23-24 school year before testing.
If you have any questions or concerns about the policy, contact the main office in the building where your student attends.
