St. Hilary Staff Meeting Agenda
Sept. 22, 2015
Gospel Reflection:
- In the first part of the Gospel, Jesus admonishes his disciples (and us) to be tolerant of all who serve him and believe in his name: “There is no one who performs a mighty deed in my name who can at the same time speak ill of me. For whoever is not against us is for us. Anyone who gives you a cup of water to drink because you belong to Christ, amen, I say to you, will surely not lose his reward.” Could these words of Jesus be applied to how we view and treat Christians/other religions who are not Catholic? If so, what are some steps we can take as Catholics to foster unity with other Christians?
- This week, Pope Francis visits the United States. How have his words and example mirrored Jesus's words in the gospel this month?
- Prayer: Heavenly Father, forgive me for the times I have judged those I considered unworthy to receive Your gifts.
