As of Monday, April 4, 490 out of 743 staff members have enrolled in 2-step verification. Nice job! Please recall that all staff must set this up before May 15th.
We are aware that some of our PC users are being prompted every day for 2-step verification. We are looking into removing Deep Freeze to resolve this issue, but we first have to set up a process for Windows updates as those are currently being processed through Deep-Freeze. We will keep you updated on that process.
Below is some of the information sent out previously about 2 step verification as a reminder.
How do I sign up?
While you don't have to yet, you can opt-in by going to google.com/landing/2step/ and following the instructions. We created some extra steps and explanations here if you want more of a guide. We will be forcing sign-up later this spring.
What if I don't want to use my personal device as the 2nd step?
You can use your school iPad, get a phone call on your school phone, use printed-out codes, or use the Authenticator app that does not use data (it just stores codes on your phone). We're happy to work with you to find a method you are comfortable with; just know that you will want to have easy access to your chosen method in case you need to sign in to Google and you are not at school. See this guide for alternate options for your 2nd step.
What if I have problems?
We're here to help! Fill out a service request if you need anything at all.

MEP Wellness Retreat
We are excited to invite you to attend a Wellness Retreat on June 15 from 9:00-2:00 at Waseca Junior-Senior High School. The Minnesota Educators Partnership group planning this event understands the unique challenges of this school year and is looking forward to bringing educators from across the region together for a day focused on wellness.
Cindra Kampoff, our keynote speaker from workshop week, will be part of this day which is a great opportunity to connect back to and build off of her message from this fall. The day will also include wellness activities and fantastic wellness giveaways as well!
If you are interested in attending, please complete this form ASAP, as registration will close when this event reaches capacity. Faribault Public Schools will pay your registration fee. Breakfast and lunch are included as well.

Early Childhood Family Education Fun!

Faribault Public Schools supports the Every Connection Counts initiative. Every Connection Counts is a movement to help uplift others' mental health and to let them know that they are cared about. All you have to do to participate is:
1. Connect with three people. Ask them how they're doing, let them know you care about them, or just have a conversation.
2. Let others know you're participating by signing the Every Connection Counts pledge. You can do that by following Every Connection Counts on Facebook, Instagram or by clicking the QR code.
3. Encourage others to participate.
