Message from Miss Melanie

Well we have completed Term 1 and the time has certainly flown. Congratulations to all of our students who have worked very hard in their classrooms and have tried their best in all that they do when at school.

I am so pleased with the attendance of our students and how much it has improved this term. Many students are making sure that they arrive at school on time and for those that arrive a little late we appreciate that you still make the effort to come to school each day. I would like to celebrate the attendance improvement from last year and congratulate everyone on our school attendance rate which is at 78% so far this year up from last year where we were at around 65%. Families we thank you for supporting this fantastic improvement as the more your child is at the school the more impact we have on their learning.

Lots of exciting things happening next term. We have the Cross-country, the Inter-school Cross-country, the Sacrament of Reconciliation, the AFL and Netball competition and some other special attendance activities.

Have a safe and happy Easter. We wish for a restful holiday for our families and look forward to seeing you all next term. Don't forget that we start back on Wednesday 26th April.

God Bless.

Miss Melanie

Holy Week

Thank you to Miss Caroline for organising a respectful and peaceful Holy Week Liturgy. All classes joined together in the Kindy room, due to the weather, and each class participated in acting out a Holy Week event. Well done to all the classes.

CARITAS

Thank you to the Holy Rosary Community for their generous support towards CARITAS this year, we raised $290.40.

HOLY ROSARY SWIMMING CARNIVAL

Congratulations to Johns for winning the Swimming Carnival on Wednesday 5th April. Thank you to all of the students who participated on the day - we can't have a successful carnival without you. Also a big thank you to the Staff for supporting all the students on the day, to do their best and try their hardest.

I would like to thank those families that came to watch their children on the day and also to those families that helped run the carnival on the day. Without family support these events would not be able to happen. Finally a big thank you to Mel and Darren John, from Derby Fuels, who kindly donated the sausage sizzle for our lunch, everyone really enjoyed their lunch.

1st Place - Johns

2nd Place - Pallotti

3rd Place - La Salle
