1960 SNCC (Student Non-violent Coordinating Commitee)
segregated businesses, they would sit there until something changed in the children all around the south had been inspired by the many things Dr. King have said. all the things ha e said about methods of non-violence and civil disobedience all in order to fight for civil rights and segregated laws. many student began boycotting segregated businesses.
1961
Desegregation of UGA
it wasn't until1961 black people had been privileged to attend UGA. a young woman named Charlayne Hunter and a young man named Hamilton Holmes were the first two black students to attend UGA. Both students had been taunted and hit as their first few months, then end the end, they had both earned degrees.
