Welcome the newest members of Fowler USD 225's Faculty & Staff for the 2018-2019 School Year
David Adams - High School Science
I graduated from FHSU in 2014 with a bachelor's of science in biology and education. I have 2 daughters that are the center of my universe, Felicity and Eva, as well as a 30 pound tomcat called Tony. I enjoy listening to Broadway showtunes and classical music and like to mess around on the piano.
Ashley Boe - Music
I am an enthusiastic educator, and a recent graduate of Valley City State University with a bachelors degree in music and an emphasis in saxophone performance. I am currently working on a Masters in Arts and Teaching from the same institution. I am excited to be starting my first year of teaching in Fowler and I look forward to working with the students and the community this coming year.
Brittany Carrillo - Preschool
My name is Brittany Carrillo and I am proud to call Fowler Elementary School my new home! I am a first-year teacher and excited to bring my knowledge to the preschool classroom. I am a 2018 graduate from K-State where I earned my Master of Arts in Teaching. Educating young children is a passion of mine and I am thrilled to be able to do so in such a close-knit community. I will strive to bring fun, engaging, and memorable learning experiences to the students in my classroom this school year.
A little about me…I am 27 years old, married, and have one son (who is also excited to start Kindergarten this year in Fowler!). I grew up in Dodge City, KS and went on to college at FHSU and KSU. My favorite things to do when I’m not teaching are traveling, spending time with family, and keeping up with my son! My most favorite thing is witnessing my son learn and grow each and every day. I can’t wait to be able to help my own students learn and grow throughout the year!
Kristen Gipson - High School Social Studies
My name is Kristen Gipson. I am going to be a Junior High and High School teacher in Fowler this year. I am very excited to be a Goldbug because of the new summit program which provides many resources for learning and enrichment. This learning, will benefit students as they develop great thinking skills; preparing them to make a difference in society. After living in other parts of Kansas and moving around a little, I decided to settle here in Meade County. I have lived here in Southwest Kansas for the last ten years. I have three kids, a boy, Derrick who will be sixteen this fall and two girls, Alyssa, who is thirteen and Abbie who is eleven. My passions include History, of course. I also enjoy playing the piano, dancing (in the privacy of my own home), cooking, being outside, camping & hiking (when I can) and spending time with those I love. I am looking forward to getting to know all of you.
Rebecca Heinz - PBL Facilitator
Lindsay Martin - 2nd Grade
I am Lindsay Martin. I am married to Chuck Martin and have been for 20 years. We have three children, the oldest is Lander and he will be a freshman at FHSU next year, Caden will be a Junior in High School and Carlie will be a 7th grader. We currently live in Meade, but I was born and raised in Coldwater.
I have two Bachelor Degrees, the first is in Health and Physical education the second is Elementary Education. I have worked in schools for the past ten years as a Substitute Teacher and as a Paraprofessional.
I am looking forward to teaching second grade at Fowler Grade School. It is exciting to know the vision of Fowler School District and all the possibilities for learning. Each child has a gift and I am ready to help them explore and gain the necessary tools to reach their full potential.
