This Week: This week we will be focusing on introducing functions and creating equations, tables, and graphs based on those functions.
Our power standards for fourth quarter are:
6.EEI.C.9. Identify and describe the relationship between two variables that change in relationship to one another.
a. Write an equation to express one quantity, the dependent variable, in terms of the other quantity, the independent variable.
b. Analyze the relationship between the dependent and independent variables using graphs, tables, and equations and relate these representations to each other.
6.G.MA.1 Find the area of polygons by composing or decomposing the shapes into rectangles or triangles.

We will be relearning the learning target and retesting at the end of the week. We will also be working on enrichment projects about plate tectonics.

Objectives for this Quarter-
- Student can describe the origins, structure, and beliefs of Judaism, Hinduism, and Buddhism.
- Student can describe the origins, structure, spread and beliefs of Christianity
- Student can describe the origins, structure, spread and beliefs of Islam
This Week-
Students will continue to explore Hinduism and Buddhism, the 3rd and 5th largest religions in the world. Students will learn where the religions originated, how they are structured, and the basic beliefs of each religion. Students will also compare the religions to each other.
English Language Arts
This Week: Monday students will get to hear author, Roland Smith, speak about the importance of the writing process and about his AWESOME books! Some students will even get to eat lunch with him! We will continue working on writing argumentative pieces and finding credible and relevant information to support our arguments.
