Rockwood Summer Workshops
Rockwood Summer Workshops
Certified staff participating in summer workshops will be paid $16/hour.
At yesterday's meeting, classroom teachers were given a book for summer reading focused on writing instruction. If any other teachers would like a book (there is one for primary and one for intermediate), just let me know.
Mark your calendars for Thursday, July 14th (specific time to come) for an optional breakfast and book talk at Maggie's Lunchbox. We will have everyone meet together for breakfast and then we can break off into our two separate groups. EVERYONE is invited whether you received a book yesterday or not, or whether your reading the book or not! :)
Packing Up Reminders
1) You are welcome to begin boxing items that you know will not be used for the remainder of the school year. There are plenty of boxes available, and you just need to let Dawn know when you are ready for them to be delivered to your classroom. Please put your name on the boxes, to help us keep everything together during movement.
2) It has been requested that any personal items in your classroom be boxed up and taken home during the summer construction.
3) Any boxes packed before the last day of school will need to remain in your classroom. There isn't any storage area available until school has been dismissed for the summer.
4) Wednesday night, May 25, after Adventure Club leaves, and Thursday, May 26th, the custodial staff will start moving boxes to the cafeteria for summer storage. After teachers leave for the day on Thursday, they will come around to get the remaining boxes to move to the cafeteria for summer storage, move as much furniture to the inner classrooms on the lower level, and any remaining furniture to the cafeteria. We will mark off each classroom section in the storage areas, so everything stays together, whether it be in the cafeteria or in the inner rooms.
Please let us know if you have any questions!
Thanks for a Great Week, Kellison!
