Gold Star Awards
Honor Your Favorite Teacher
The 2018-19 school year marks the twenty-eighth year in which the GOLD STAR AWARDS program has honored excellence in education. This program brings public recognition to K-12 educators who have made significant contributions to a better education in their area.
Parents, students, former students…anyone can make a nomination simply by noting the teacher’s name, school, and why he or she deserves the GOLD STAR AWARD.
To make a nomination, go to nbcmontana.com, click on the community link Gold Star, and submit your nomination. Or, you may mail nominations to NBC Montana, P.O. Box 5268, Missoula, MT 59806. Each nomination is reviewed by a selection committee made up of persons from the education community.
One Gold Star teacher is chosen per month. Once a winner is selected, NBC Montana produces a winner profile which airs on the station during a one-week period. Each winner also receives an attractive GOLD STAR AWARD plaque.
