Gold Star Awards

Honor Your Favorite Teacher

The 2018-19 school year marks the twenty-eighth year in which the GOLD STAR AWARDS program has honored excellence in education. This program brings public recognition to K-12 educators who have made significant contributions to a better education in their area.

Parents, students, former students…anyone can make a nomination simply by noting the teacher’s name, school, and why he or she deserves the GOLD STAR AWARD.

To make a nomination, go to, click on the community link Gold Star, and submit your nomination. Or, you may mail nominations to NBC Montana, P.O. Box 5268, Missoula, MT 59806. Each nomination is reviewed by a selection committee made up of persons from the education community.

One Gold Star teacher is chosen per month. Once a winner is selected, NBC Montana produces a winner profile which airs on the station during a one-week period. Each winner also receives an attractive GOLD STAR AWARD plaque.

Please check your homes for this silverware.

The photo below is the silverware pattern at school. We are missing quite a bit from the lunch room. Please check in your kitchens for this pattern and send back any found with your student. We would really appreciate it.

Thanks so much.

Big picture

Our midterm is on Friday, January 18th. Parents can expect reports from teachers on Friday, January 25th. Please return signed envelopes on Monday, January 28th.

Ice Skating Rink

The skating rink is the current site for all PE classes. Please help your child remember to bring the necessary equipment to skate. Thanks.

The students are required to have a helmet, coat, gloves and skates, in order to skate on the skating rink.

Students that want to skate during non-school hours are welcome if they have direct adult supervision. Thank you for abiding by this requirement, without your cooperation the rink may not be available for anyone to use.

Emergency Lunch

Emergency Lunch - Parents just a reminder to be sure and check that your child(ren) still have an emergency lunch in their locker.

Out of District Students

We are now accepting out of district applications for the 2019-2020 school year. Please contact Ms. Clark if you still need to receive an application.

Thank you.

Box Tops & Labels for Education Program

Welcome back to school! We will be participating in both the Labels for Education and the Box Tops for Education™ programs again this year. Send clipped labels to school with your child as you collect them and I will submit them. Sign up at to get coupons and stay updated on our school’s earnings. Money raised from Box Tops is used by the Parent Group to fund projects at the school and Labels earnings can be used by the teachers to get supplies for the classroom. Thanks for helping!
