Mrs. Quinn's Fifth Grade Classroom

Saint's Peter and Paul School

Science Club will be starting March 11, 2015 at 2:15 pm until 3:15 pm!

For our first Science Club we will be working on making balloon rockets. Rockets work by way of jet propulsion. The principle behind it is based on Newton's Third Law of Motion: For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. When a rocket blows out gas at high speed, the rocket is pushed in the opposite direction. Balloon rockets follow the same principles, but in this case the gas is the air inside the balloon. In this project you'll build balloon rocket.
