OFFICE UPDATES
Credit Recovery
Two Saturday Credit Recovery Days have been added.
The new dates are 3/25 & 4/15.
They will be held on Corbett Campus in rooms #F105 & #F106 from 9:15 AM to 11:15 AM.
If your student owes Credit Recovery days and attends both hours, this will give your student 2 days of credit.
Please be aware that the total of unexcused absences AND excused absences are used to compute the total days of Credit Recovery owed.
If you have any further questions, please contact your student’s counselor.
TELPAS Testing
We are starting our online TELPAS testing from Feb. 27th to March 10th.
Thursday, March 2 – 7th Grade group 1 Listening and Speaking
Friday, March 3 – 7th Grade group 2 Listening and Speaking
Mustangs Uplifting Mustangs
Mustangs Uplifting Mustangs! Nominate a teacher or staff member that you feel deserves recognition!
Mustang of the Week will be chosen at random from each week's entries. The Winner's Wreath will be passed to the winner to proudly display. The Winner's Wreath is a symbol of dedication to our campus and students.
Each nominee will be given a color certificate with the short story you provide in this entry! Thank you for uplifting a fellow Mustang

CORE UPDATES
ELAR 8th grade
Students have just completed a unit on the rhetoric of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Classes are spending next week analyzing pro/con arguments on a variety of topics. Students will work on identifying claims, selecting supporting evidence, and taking their own position on a topic of their choice.
8th Math
Your student will be finding surface areas of prisms.
Algebra: Your student will be learning about the attributes of quadratic functions.

Game Central
We are opening up a limited number of spots for any students who want to join. We are looking at adding about 15-20 seventh graders and 10-15 eighth graders. There is a one-time membership fee of $20. It will be first-come-first-serve until full. See Mrs. Navarro in the library for an application.
Military Student Specialist
Military connected students have an opportunity to have FREE online tutoring, 1 on 1 with a teaching professional. Encourage your military connected students to use Tutor.com. Non military fees are $60 an hour. It is a unique benefit for the military connected students. They can also receive study skills and organization skills.
