Holicong Middle School

Updates From Mr. Bucher

Team 7-2 Activities

Team 7-2 recently celebrated the culmination of their Medieval Unit with their traditional Middle Ages Day. The team was divided into five kingdoms and competed in various medieval activities to determine a winner. The students built castles, stained glass windows, banners, shields of heraldry and trebuchets. After presenting historical information about their areas of expertise and displaying their creativity, it was time to siege the castles. Each Kingdom had the opportunity to lay siege to the other kingdom’s castles with their trebuchets. When the battle concluded, one kingdom stood above the rest…Germany. Congratulations to Ms. Van Ness and her loyal subjects!

Team 8-0 Students Published!

Over the past few weeks, Team 8-0 students participated in activities which focused on argumentative writing. Students applied the steps to be a logical thinker to a debatable topic of their choice. After considering both sides of the issue and organizing their thoughts, they wrote an argumentative essay supporting their position.

A New Look To CB's Website!

Central Bucks School District would like to give you a preview of its new website scheduled to go-live the first week in May. Go to www.cbsd.org to access a link for the sneak peek. Schools have been working to update their sites which will provide a succinct calendar system, featured news stories, and other important information. The new websites will be "mobile-device friendly" so school phone numbers, school menus and other information will be easily accessed. Throughout the summer months, staff will receive training on their own teacher/department-sites. We hope you will be as excited as we are with our new “look”!
