CUDOS
OPEN HOUSE was a HUGE SUCCESS!! Thanks for all of your efforts to have products and projects for parents to see that their children are already doing great things!! If you have a sign in sheet from that night, please make a copy and put in my mailbox.
CUDOS to those of you who have joined PTA. They really appreciate your support! I appreciate those of you who came early on Tuesday to be part of their meeting.
COMING UP
Thursday, September 22nd, we will have a special assembly in the front parking lot at 9:00am. Start moving your class out there to be settled by 9am. Everyone is invited to attend this 45 minute BMX Trick Riding Anti-Bullying Presentation sponsored by PTA. Students will be sitting on the pavement out front all the way around the circle. Special areas teachers will take the 4th grade students out for the performance from 9:00 - 9:25, then they will need to relieve the PK team at 9:25 until the end of the presentation so those teachers get their conference time (PK teachers--talk to me about this on Monday to plan logistics).
PROGRESS REPORTS GO HOME ON WEDNESDAY, SEPT. 21st!!!!! Wow!!
CIC Meeting: Our first CIC meeting will be Thursday, Sept. 29th, at 3:15pm. I will try to get all of the information out to you a week in advance so that the meeting doesn't take too long, but this will be the one where we have to discuss our Campus Improvement Plan.
The employee FLU SHOT clinic is on October 4th (2:30 - 3:45pm) in the conference room. Please see the email from NBISD NEWS that gives you the link to sign up. They are only allowing employees who sign up electronically to participate this year. It will be in the conference room that day. Also, those of you who are in high risk positions of coming into contact with bodily fluids are encouraged to also request the Hep B shot series to protect yourself from infection or disease (ie. FOCUS, PPCD, FOCUS, Nurse, FOCUS, PreK teachers, FOCUS, PE Teachers, FOCUS).
SUMs (Student Update Meetings)
I would like to start our SUMs the week of October 10th so you have necessary information for tutoring and intervention to share at parent conferences. As soon as I have the schedule, I'll send it out. I will be sending a data collection form for use for these. Please DO NOT create your own form and expect to use it for your SUMs data unless you just want a separate version for yourself. You will be required to enter your data into our form because It makes it very difficult for us to merge data for tracking and monitoring when your form is different from the rest.
