SHISD Mid-Week Message
Promoting Great Things in a Great School District
Great Time to be a Spring Hill Panther!
This week was a great week to be a SH Panther! I was blessed by attending the Jr. High track meet and saw a sea of Panther Blue across the stadium. That was followed by our one-act play team advancing past district and our girls winning the district golf championship for the 2nd time in a row. Three of our golfers medaled.
I was able to visit campuses today and see great things going on at all four campuses. The week ended with the Easter egg hunt at the primary. It was a great way to end the week and see so many supportive parents involved with our schools. Tonight, we have baseball, softball, and our girls in the soccer playoffs.
Equally impressive is the accomplishments of the UIL academic performances from our students grades 2 through 8. They won first place in our district in all grades and most categories. The award ceremonies were tremendous with over 40% of the student body participating in UIL academics.
This school district has so many great things going on inside and outside the classrooms and things are only going to get better! Have a very happy and thankful Easter weekend as you enjoy time with family.
With Great Pride,
-Steve Snell

Mrs. Harshaw (Intermediate Librarian) for organized the chick hatching and injection of dye with the Gregg County Agriculture Dept in order to show students its effects on newly hatched chicks. It was an amazing experience and the students loved learning about the life cycle of chicks in the process!!! Thank you, Pam for facilitating this!
The pictures show the chicks that the county extension agent helped dye! That's why they are green and blue!!
