New Beginnings Class Newsletter
For the Week of 9/25-9/29
What We Worked On
Read Aloud- We read the stories "Ten Apples Up On Top" and "Red Riding Hood." We continue to work on identifying the front and back cover of a book. We also worked on identifying the characters in a story (Red Riding Hood, Grandma, and the Big Bad Wolf).
Skills- We introduced the letter "B", the number "2," and reviewed the color red and the shape circle.
Looking Ahead- We will begin to work on our fall unit. We will continue to work on the letter "B" and the number "2."
What Can I Do?
Please continue to work on the daily self-help skills, including using forks and spoons, drinking from a cup, and encouraging sitting on the toilet or potty. Please continue to encourage your child put on their own clothing, including shoes and socks.
Please continue to review the color red by pointing out objects that are red. Recently we went on a nature walk, and the children were so excited to look for the red leaves.
Please continue to count to 10 and sing the alphabet to your child. Look for numbers and letters every where and point it out to your child when you do find some.
