Unit 2 Reflection
By: Destiny Brown
Welcome
In unit 2 we learned how to figure out one step, two step, and multi step equations. If you don't know how to do these equations don't worry the answers are all right here. Remember when you are doing these equations always remember this: get the variable by itself.
One Step
One Step equations are equation solved in one step. In this equation both sides are equal to each other. The main goal is to find the variable.
In order to solve this type of equation first you have to figure out what type of equation it is. Once you find out do the opposite of the equation. Always remember get the variable by itself. After that the answer you got is your answer to the one step equation.
Two Step
Two step equations are similar to one step except they have two steps. Remember to get the variable by itself. In order to get the variable by itself you first have to get rid of the constant . It should now look like a one step equation. After that you have to get rid of the number next to the variable to isolate the variable. Finally, you have your answer.
Multi Step
Multi Step equations are equations with multiple steps. In order to solve these equations you can use a easy 4 step method. First you have distribute ( use distributive property; PEMDAS ). Next combine like terms that are on the same side of the equation. After that Add or subtract. Lastly, multiply or divide. Then, you should have your answer.
Closure
In conclusion in Unit 2 we learned about one step, two step, and multi step equations. It's important to get the answer by itself because it's not an expression. Also, to always isolate the variable when we see these equations.
