First Day of School
Morning drop off is in front of the building:
Drop off starts at 7:25 am. Please be mindful of others as you drop off in the morning. You may walk your child to their classroom on the first day of school. After the first day of school, please drop them off in the front of the school. Learning starts at 7:45 am.
Students pack up to leave for the day at the 2:40 bell. Options for dismissal are bus, Metro, car rider, or walker/parent pick up.
Car riders will be dismissed to the gym. From there they will be called as parents come through the car rider line. The car rider line runs down 56th on to Robertson and through the school parking lot.
Walkers/Parent Pick Up - student are dismissed to the front walk way. There is supervision there until all students have been picked up
If a change needs to made to a dismissal plan for your child(ren), call the office before 2:00 pm. Please do not email teachers or administration with these changes. We cannot guarantee that email will be read before dismissal time.

Hanawalt Community Notes
Help make this year another great one for Hanawalt!
Please sign up to get involved in one of the Hanawalt Community (PTA) event committees, like clubs, book fair, yearbook, car riders and more. Learn more and sign up here! You don't need to be an expert to get involved and it's a great way to meet others in the Hanawalt Community.
Volunteers will be an important part of the new Soaring Hawks After School Enrichment Clubs Program that is free of cost to all Hanawalt students. A few volunteers are needed to support students with the transition from school dismissal to club locations from about 2:35-2:55 p.m.. Please reach out to email@example.com if you are able to help in this capacity.
