Bond Issue Passes with Flying Colors!
A Message From Dr. Monsees
I want to extend my great appreciation for your support and efforts related to our bond issue. Ray-Pec patrons voted 79.85% in favor of the bond issue in this week's election - a tremendous margin of support!
We look forward to implementing the facility projects outlined in our Long Range Facility Plan. The next year or so will be challenging as we tackle the construction projects and the necessary transition activities in preparation for the fall of 2017. I am confident that collectively we will make this transition a positive experience for our students moving forward.
I also want to thank Leo Anderson and Joe Anthuis for their years of service to Ray-Pec on the Board of Education. Their dedication to our students and staff have been a tremendous benefit to Ray-Pec.
Please congratulate newly elected Board of Education members Kim Bailey and Susan Edmonsond.

Introducing Mrs. Kathy Carter
Mrs. Carter Joins our Shull Family!
Mrs. Kathy Carter has joined our first and second grade teams to provide instruction to students in the areas of math, reading and writing. Mrs. Carter has lived in this area since she was a small child and graduated from Raymore-Peculiar HS. Prior to teaching, Mrs. Carter spent 25 years at Sprint, most recently as manager of a technical writing team for customer service support. She has two married sons who also graduated from RPHS. Mrs. Carter has one grandson who is expecting his new sibling in late September and a new granddaughter on the way at the end of May! Pennies for Patients Began April 4
Since 1994, millions of dollars have been raised in pennies and other spare change by more than 10 million elementary, middle and high school students throughout the country.
The funds collected during Shull's Service Learning Project, "Pennies for Patients," will benefit The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Everyone who participates is a winner! The class collecting the most change receives a pizza party.
Our school wide goal is to raise $500 to donate to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. That's only $100 per grade level in coins!
