A Note From the Principal
Good Morning River Hawk Families,
What an incredible week our PTSA, ASB, River Hawk students and families bestowed on us for Teacher and Staff Appreciation! We are truly thankful for all the wonderful goodies, messages, cards and tokens of appreciation that were given across our campus. Thank you to the parents who took time out of their busy schedules to be a part of shopping, donating, and giving their time in order to make our wonderful staff feel your love!
As the end of the year is nearing closer, please be having conversations to ensure your student is reaching out to their teachers early if they are struggling and need help before final tests are taken and grades are issued. Remember that most teachers will have earlier late-work cut-off dates (in most cases prior to Memorial Day Weekend), so don't wait until the last minute!
In this issue learn more about:
- Loss of Privilege (LOP) for 7th and 8th grade activities
- Our Rio JUMP students join Valencia's MSA students at HOSA
- The Stand PTSA Restaurant Fundraiser flyer for this Wednesday from 11 a.m. - 9 p.m. Please support us for lunch or dinner!
- Repeat of: PTSA Parent Volunteer Sign-up for the District Track Meet, PTSA Parent Volunteer Sing-up for Textbook Collection, Valencia MSA Physicals for High School Summer Camps for incoming 9th graders, Valencia HS Wrestling Team opportunities for current 8th graders, and Valencia High School Cross Country flyer for current 8th graders.
Finally, I hope all our moms, grandmas, and mother figures in our students' lives have a fantastic Mother's Day weekend and feel as loved and appreciated as our staff did! For those River Hawks that are missing theirs, please know that my heart is with you this weekend!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Bennett
