NACP Parents In the Know

News From Our Principal, Dr. Guerrero

WEEK 12 - NOVEMBER 6, 2020

Weekly Message from the Principal

Dear NACP Students and Families,

This first week in November has been quite the week. There is so much going on around us and in the Virtual Classrooms. In the next few days teachers will share information and schedules for the upcoming Virtual Parent-Teacher Conferences. Conferences will take place the week of November 16th. Teachers look forward to touching base with each of you to go over the academic progress of each child.

Teachers began the administration of the NWEA MAP Test this week. This is a diagnostic exam that will help teachers determine the types of supports or enrichment activities your child needs during small group instruction. Please take a moment before your child begins his or her exam to encourage them to do their best. We know every students will do his or her best!

Over the past few days Ms. Garcia (Vanessa) from the Parent Center has shared information on upcoming events being hosted or promoted by the school. They include webinars for parent leadership and student advocacy, health and wellbeing, computer literacy, ESL, and more. We invite you to take part in one or all of these events.

Last but not least, we are happy to announce the new members of the School Site Council as voted by parents. Please see below.

Please note that Wednesday, November 11, 2020 is a National Holiday- Classes will NOT be held and the office will be closed in observance.

Have a wonderful weekend!

Sincerely Yours,

-Dr. Guerrero
