CDS - First Program
The Weekly Word from CDS FP - Oct 16-Oct 20, 2017
Looking Back
- Four new students joined us: Heather in K; Jaehee and Jiho in G2; and Julie in G3! The First Program welcomes you into our community, and good timing, too, because there is lots of fun happening in the next couple of weeks! Be sure to check out your teacher's homepage for the details that are specific to each class, i.e. Twin Day, Color Day, & Pajama Day.
- Term 2 began on Thursday and we are off to great start!
- Thank you to all the parents who joined us for our Term 1 Assembly. The Grade 4s did a fantastic job at helping to run the event. Their jobs were varied. We had students in the tech booth managing videos, sounds, and lights. Others were ushers welcoming and seating guests. House music was played live on the piano. Grade 4 assembly hosts spoke to us emceeing the event. Videos and photographs were taken by students. Stagehands helped clear and set the stage for a multitude of performances. The 4s also worked prior to the event to design and produce assembly programmes. All in all, a lot of work, and very well done. Be proud, Grade 4s!
- The Book Fair was successful. Thanks to all the parents who donated their time and effort at the PTA snack tables. The kids were quite excited about being able to buy some goodies at school as a special treat.
- Check out some videos and photos below to get a glimpse of what FP looked like this past week!

Parent Session # 2 - MAP
Parent teachers conferences will occur soon - Nov. 3, but there is seldom enough time during those conferences to go over the detailed MAP results. In our parent session, we aim to be able to meet with parents who have a specific question about a child's report.
Information will be offered in English and Korean. Mr. Hill and Ms. (Jennifer) Kim will host.
The session is scheduled to take place in the Korean classroom, third floor of the FP. See you there!
*Please RSVP below to let us know that you plan on attending: student name, student last name, and email.
