Galileo invented the telescope in 1609. The telescope helped him find Jupiter's moons.
Galileo proves Aristotle's theory!
Aristotle thought that when you drop two objects at the same height that don't weigh the same they won't land at the same time. Galileo thought different and went to the top of the Leaning Tower Of Pisa and got two objects that had different weights and dropped them at the same time. That day Aristotle's theory was proven.
Galileo's Trial!
Galileo got put up on trial for heresy. He got called a heretic because he was against Aristotle's theory that the Earth was the center of the universe. He got put under house arrest and died on January 8,1642 of an illness.
