The SLP Scoop
ESC Region 11 Speech-Language Pathology Newsletter
Issue 29• November 2020
Last fall, we collected data from you regarding the factors that affect SLP workloads in our region. Given the new school year and current events/challenges, we would like to update the data to develop further guidance for you and your LEAs. We are inviting you to share and submit information via our updated SLP Workload/Caseload Survey. We know your time is precious these days, but the form should take only 5-10 minutes to complete. Please note that completion is optional, and the information you provide will remain confidential. Please email me should you have any questions or concerns.
To access the survey, click here:https://forms.gle/ZqbYe44PorfCRyAx7
Thank you in advance for your time and input!
The 86th Texas Legislature finds that children who are deaf or hard of hearing are often at risk for language delay or deprivation. The purpose of HB 548 is to generate and monitor data on the language acquisition of children eight years of age or younger who are deaf or hard of hearing. Please see the TEA video to learn more about HB 548 or SELA.
If you have questions about HB 548, please contact Anne Darr at adarr@esc11.net, or you can find additional resources at the TEA Website: Sensory Impairments Page.
