Hello LVES Families! This has been a fun month of learning about Respect and Red Ribbon Week! Our Red Ribbon Week activities are meant to be fun reminders for students to respect themselves and make good choices. At the young elementary level we mainly focus on understanding that there is a difference between good and bad drugs, making positive choices, and doing your best to live a healthy, drug-free life. Students also signed our No Place for Hate Resolution of Respect, which states, “I promise to do my best to treat everyone fairly; I promise to do my best to be kind to everyone--even if they are not like me; If I see someone being hurt or bullied I will report it to an adult; Everyone at school should be able to feel safe and happy at school; and I want our school to be No Place for Hate.”
Thank you for supporting our efforts to encourage all students to respect themselves and others!
“Perhaps the surest test of an individual's integrity is his refusal to do or say anything that would damage his self-respect.” ~Thomas S. Monson
~Thomas S. Monson
