Challenger Middle School Mission
To provide an exemplary education that develops critical thinking and problem solving skills which inspire our students to challenge their minds and charge their spirits.
Principal's Corner
Hello Challenger Charger families!
I am honored to be your principal and pleased to welcome you back to the 2022-2023 school year! It is truly a privilege to be a part of a community where all staff members strive to build positive relationships to support our students' academic and social-emotional needs.
Our goal at Challenger Middle is to work collaboratively to provide a rich learning environment to foster independent thinkers and promote a culture of safety and respect. I hope that all students will love school in a learning environment that is a positive, safe, caring, as well as a fun place to learn and grow.
We pride ourselves on being a "Community of Learners" where our students and staff look for opportunities to learn from each other in our daily lives. We are committed to high academic expectations, mutual respect, and social responsibility.
On behalf of the Challenger Middle School staff, I want to thank you for being a part of our Charger community, where we build on traditions and meet future challenges in exciting and innovative ways. I wish you all an excellent school year!
Respectfully,
Stacia Winfree

Picture Day is Coming!
That's right! Get your camera faces ready, because Picture Day is already around the corner.
Picture Day will take place on Thursday September 8th, 2022!
On July 29, 2022 Challenger Middle School had their inaugural 6th Grade Orientation!
We had over 200 incoming 6th graders' experience what it's like to be a true Challenger Charger. They got special VIP access to their new stage, a run through of procedures and expectations, and they got to rock out while completing a campus-wide scavenger hunt.
We also had a special visit from our new Superintendent, Dr. Bernier!
Our Admin and Leadership team welcomed our incoming Chargers before sending them off to their special backstage access!
The day started with a warm welcome as students got sorted into their rock and roll bands.
As students left, they got a complimentary Challenger water bottle that they'll be able to use on campus!
Students learned about what electives and extracurriculars are available to them at Challenger.
Special guest artist: Our new Superintendent, Dr. Bernier stopped by to encourage the newest additions and welcome the incoming 6th graders into Challenger!
Basketball & Cross Country
Basketball and Cross Country will be our first sporting events.
Students will meet in the gym at dismissal. The first day of the sport, students will receive information about what is needed to continue. Once teams are decided, practice will take place Monday-Wednesday from 4:00pm - 5:30pm.
All sports are free of charge, with buses provided to each event. We have activity buses, available Monday-Wednesday. These buses must be signed up prior to use. These buses will drop off at a “safe spot” as close to your house as possible. Parents or guardians must be at the stop to pick up. Intramural and insurance information must be signed and returned prior to practice. These forms will go home the first day of sign ups. The day of sign ups, please have a ride by 5:00 pm, or approval and registration to go to After Care or use our activity bus.
