Time to Sign Up
Click HERE to register for summer learning!
Good Afternoon,
It is time to register your child for Summer Learning. Please use the following link to sign your child(dren) up. An early registration will ensure that we have the staff and resources to host a robust summer learning program.
Explore and Expand, Title 1 and Summer Academy will begin on July 5th and run through July 27th. The programs are either 3 or 4 mornings a week depending on the age of your child(dren). A more detailed description of summer learning opportunities can be found in the registration form.
Similar to last year, all summer programming is free including transportation and lunch. Please note that we are working to increase the number of buses so that there are additional common pick-up and drop-off locations for students. We will work closely with town summer Recreation Programs to coordinate so that children may participate in both rec. programming as well as ConVal summer learning.
Please reach out with any questions!
Best,
Amy and Kathie

Emergency Management Safety Drill
As part of our Emergency Management Safety Drills, Antrim Elementary School will be conducting an Off-site Evacuation Drill on Wednesday May 3rd @ 9:30 in the morning. Our designated primary location is the Antrim Baptist Church. We will be walking down to the church, taking attendance and then walking back to the school. This is an important drill for the students and staff so they become comfortable with this procedure. If this was a true emergency, we would then receive instructions from the SAU as to how to proceed and the SAU would also communicate with families with instructions. Great Brook School will be conducting an off-site evacuation drill at the same time but they will be going to a different location.
We will be sending home a permission slip to be signed and returned to the school so that your child may participate. If you choose not to have your child participate, please indicate that and there will be a staff member at school during this drill. If this was a true emergency, everyone would be evacuated and you would be contacted by the school district.
This drill will be the final safety drill we are required to conduct through the course of the year from the Homeland Security Emergency Management. If you have any questions, please call the office.

Great News To Share
Antrim Elementary School is proud to be featured in the #CanopyProject, a collective research project that enables educators and ecosystem leaders to better understand how schools are innovating across the US. This project was launched in 2019 as a collaborative national effort to highlight equitable, student-centered innovation in K–12. Today, the Center on Reinventing Public Education (CRPE) and Transcend are releasing new and updated information about 251 innovative school designs, including AES. The data is available on a new interactive data portal that makes it easy to browse the school data and view individual school profiles.
In a historically challenging moment for K-12 education, elevating examples of learning environments designing for equity and student-centered learning is more important than ever. Check out the Canopy today: www.canopyschools.org
