This Week w/ Ms. Werth
May 23rd - May 27th
Field Day
I would also welcome any and all donations of bottled water, ice pops, or snacks.
**I have heard from two parents thus far (one in my homeroom willing to bring in water bottles and halos and one in Ms. Bolick's homeroom willing to bring in a snack).
Tons of Important Information
EOG Letters: Mr. Trivett had asked that each 3-6 teacher send home two envelopes and index cards per child, hoping that parents or family members would write encouraging words to their children on the day of the EOGs. Very few of these have been returned. We ask that you complete these and send them in prior to EOGs next week (June 1st and June 2nd). Thanks for helping with this!
End of Year Celebration: Fourth grade wanted to do something together as a grade level the last day of school. If you are willing and able to help with this, please contact one of the grade parents: Amy Cable, Deb Smith, or Kim Canino
Math and Science
This week in math I have been pulling small groups to work with me based on student need. During this time students are doing an excellent job seeking help from classmates and creating their own small groups (kids teaching kids, it's quite the sight to see!). We have also spent two days mixing the kids up between blocks and targeting instruction where needed whole group.
Due to the immense amount of time we are devoting to math this week, as was the case last week, unfortunately we haven't had much time for science and I don't anticipate we will next week either with testing.
