Ribbit Report
Turner Creek Elementary School
March 9, 2018
Frogapalooza is almost here!
Mark your calendars for Saturday, March 24th -- 4:00-7:30 pm!
Did you know that it takes more than 50 volunteers to help on the night of Frogapalooza? Planning for this event begins in the Fall -- and many people have been working for months acquiring donations, planning games and activities, as well as coordinating Fwith Ms. Michael and Ms. Turco on the art and music components. A huge THANK YOU to all who have helped behind the scenes as well as those who have already signed up to volunteer and send in baked goodies!
If you haven't already, please consider volunteering to help us make this event a success! Volunteer shifts are designed to be short -- only 30 minutes -- and easy. Most involve selling tickets for the games, raffles, and cake walk. If you have more questions, please contact Tammy Platts: tplatts@bellsouth.net. Thanks for your consideration!
Supplies Needed for Frogapalooza
Got Fabric? Ms. Turco, TCE Art teacher, is looking for scraps of fabric to complete one of the family projects at Frogapalooza. Fabric can be any color or fiber content.
Got Fabric and Extra Time? Eventually the fabric will be torn/cut into 2" wide strips of varying lengths.
All donation can be sent to the Art room. Thanks!

Position: Teacher Luncheon Chairs
Looking for a way to show how much we love and appreciate our teachers? The teacher luncheon chairperson(s) organizes lunches for all TCE staff on every early release day and one staff in-service day in July. The chairperson plans a total of 4 lunches and 4 snacks throughout the year. The position requires working with local restaurants to ask for donations and/or discounts. The chairperson will also create a signup genius to ask TCE parents for donations to go along with the lunch. There is also a budget given by the PTA. On the day of the lunch or snack, the chairperson sets up all the food, stays to help serve, and cleans up at the end of lunch. On the actual early release day, the time required is from 9:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. In addition, the preparation time required for each early release lunch is about 3 hours. This is a wonderful position that is very much appreciated by all teachers and staff. Ideally, this is a position shared among 2-3 persons. For more information. please contact Tammy Platts: tplatts@bellsouth.net
