Daily Learning Targets
Please remember the 5 components of Daily Learning Targets:
1. Post them (be sure they are up-to-date)
2. Unpack them
3. Give the "Why" behind the learning
4. Revisit them throughout the lesson
5. Assess - do you have a clear manner in which to assess
their learning in order to guide YOUR next instructional
move
Rigor...
Question of the week:
Are YOU holding your students to the highest level of rigor ...
or
Are YOU a push-over and 'giving' rather than leading your students to the answer?
As you are leading your students to learning - be sure to give them the tools to be cooperative learners.
As you are leading your students to learning - be sure to allow them to fail.
As you are leading your students to leanring - be sure to give just enough, but not too much so they can self discover.
As you are leading your students to learning - be sure to let them discover multiple ways of learning....
Unit 1 Assessment
2. Prep your students - prepare them for the importance of this assessment, prepare them to take this assessment seriously, prepare yourself to maintain high expectations and rigor - don't give in!
3. Take this first Unit 1 assessment as a learning time - they are just getting back into the swing of things as far as assessment - you will have to remind them to stay focused and driven!
PACE Setters Meeting - Wednesday evening - 7:00pm
Office Visits
If you bring them - then no card is needed!
Please ask if you have questions!
Moby Max
Be sure you are using this program - DAILY!
Be sure the skills they are practicing are the RIGHT skills!
Be sure that they are actually logging on and staying focused - use the Real Time feature on Moby Max!
Be sure you have shared your IEP students with Jen Schuessler!
Be sure you are running reports and providing additional support instruction as needed!

3. Strengthen our Data Dialogues (SPED and Reading Interventionists) with the help and support of our ELG consultant - Pati
4. Establish goals with our students
If you do not agree with these goals or feel they are not appropriate, please let me know! We have had conversations regarding these starting last year and coming into this school year off and on! I am just now solidifying them to push out into your RANDA!
If you feel you'd like an additional goal - please come see me!

Thought of the week: Wouldn't it be a wonderful sound - to fill the hallways each morning after the announcements singing the School Song - High Hopes? If not everyday, how about Mondays?
