CONGRATULATIONS MRS. TRACEY WEBB- GTE 2021-2022 TEACHER OF THE YEAR!
Anyone who works with Tracey Webb knows how dedicated she is to her profession.
When I congratulated her on the Teacher of the Year nomination, she very humbly said, “Oh gosh...I don’t feel deserving.” That couldn’t be further from the truth.
She won’t tell you this, but Tracey spends numerous hours at school, before and after the bell rings, planning her lessons to ensure the success of each and every student. She creates meaningful lessons that challenge those who need it and encourage those who struggle.
Speaking of struggling students, Tracey volunteers her time after school to further help students who struggle the most. Tracey encourages them to stay after school with her because she is dedicated to helping every student experience success.
At recess, you may see Tracey walking the track with students one day, playing PIG on the basketball court the next day, or just walking from one group of students to the next, forming deeper and more meaningful relationships, not only because she knows that will help them in her classroom, but also because she truly cares about her students.
Anyone who meets Tracey will be greeted with her warm, caring smile. Tracey has a way of making you feel like you are important. She's the first one to ask how your day is going if your sick child is feeling better, or how she can help you when you are having a bad day.
As you can see, aside from being a fantastic teacher, Tracey is an amazing colleague and friend to many, and I am very lucky to work alongside her. For these reasons and more, Tracey Webb is very deserving of the honor of teacher of the year!

DECEMBER ESSENTIAL
AT ALL TIMES KEEP YOUR HANDS, FEET AND OTHER OBJECTS TO YOURSELF
When you transition from one subject to the other, the change will be swift, quiet, and orderly. We should be consistently able to turn from one book to another, complete with all homework and necessary materials, as quickly as possible. The opportune amount of time to spend in transition should be less than ten seconds, and we will work towards a goal of seven seconds.
The more time spent transitioning the more time kids have to talk, move around, etc.
When in a line, walk single file, two to three feet behind the person in front of you with your arms at your sides. Face forward at all times. There is absolutely no talking.
Make your mind and body safe
Keep others around you safe
WOW WEDNESDAYS
EACH WEDNESDAY, ONE STUDENT FROM EACH CLASS IS CHOSEN TO SPIN THE WOW WHEEL. THESE STUDENTS ARE CHOSEN FOR MODELING THE ESSENTIAL 10.

Ms. Allison Cameron-Kindergarten
I am excited to be back where my education began. I never thought that my first year teaching would be where I went to elementary school. I have my bachelors degree in elementary education and I have my masters in character education. Outside of school I love spending time with my nieces and nephews. I also enjoy playing with my two cats, named Luna and Theo. I am getting married on December 19th and it can't come soon enough. When there is time I enjoy baking and working on puzzles.
Mrs. Dominique Ackley- Building IA
I have lived in Missouri since 2010. I am originally from the east coast. I have lived in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, and Virginia. My family had a farm growing up and I trained horses and raised livestock. I earned my BS in Animal Science from Delaware Valley University and then went on to University of Delaware to complete education courses and become certified in secondary education. I’ve had many jobs and lived in many places before coming to Green Tree.
My children started attending Green Tree as soon as we moved to Missouri in 2010. I immediately became active in the PTO and was the VP of Events for many years. As my children moved on to the middle and high school levels, I left my role in PTO and began subbing for the district. I subbed exclusively at Green Tree for the past four years and have loved building relationships with the students and staff at GTE. When the opportunity arose to take a full time Instructional Assistant position at GTE I jumped at the chance. I truly enjoy the opportunity I have each day to support our wonderful staff and students at Green Tree.

SHOUT OUT
We want to give a shout out to Mrs. Ambrosius’ and Ms. Farace’s 2nd grade classes. During PE they competed in a “Trash Run” to see which class could collect the most trash from the GTE playground area. It was a huge success and we are proud of their community spirit.
