Bobcat Bulletin

The Bobcat was out in force for the first day.
Welcome Back! Mrs. Martens, Mrs. Rastok, Mrs. Mead and a student.
Mrs. Harvell & a student on our first day
It's the Bobcat Way
These first few days to start the year have been absolutely wonderful, and we love having our bobcats back. It has been an absolute delight to see students connect with their new teachers, get to know all of our staff, and learn routines and procedures.
We work to be clear with students as to our expectations. At Friday's Welcome Back assembly, we reviewed how to Be Your Binkley Best by following our three expectations: Be Safe, Be Responsible, Be Respectful. Then we focus on our first school wide area and taught HOW to be successful at the lunch tables. Check out the presentation, and Bobcat Way Expectation Video. And below you will find our School Wide Expectations for different areas of the school.
Supporting the work we do at school with positive home language is important. Everything we do is with intent to support students growth academically, socially, emotionally, and physically. We know the return from summer and back to the structure of school can be challenging, but we are in this together. If you ever need further clarification as to our why, do not hesitate to ask, so we can support that conversation at home. We are partners.
BE Safe. BE Responsible. BE Respectful.
BE YOUR BINKLEY BEST!
Warmly,
Harmony Harvell, Principal

BOOSTER EVENTS
We would like to invite our Binkley family to volunteer at the Redwood Empire Food Bank! Donating your time will help end hunger in our community and will teach our kids the value of giving back. We have committed to a quarterly warehouse shift packing food or boxes. Our first shift is Thursday, September 7th from 5:00-7:00 PM at 3990 Brickway Blvd, Santa Rosa. This is a great activity to do as a family! Staff will be present to lead you through the activity of the evening and music will make it fun! You will need to register everyone HERE, or online at REFB.org and clicking "volunteer" to find the shift. For anyone that does not have an email address (kids), we recommend using a filler to create the account. First and last name @ example.com (LizBerry@example.com).
