TASB Site Meetings Scheduled to Solicit Input From Staff, Parents & Community Members on Superintendent Search
Spring Hill Staff, Parents, and Community Members,
As you are aware, SHISD Trustees have employed Texas Association of School Boards Executive Search Services to facilitate the search for the next Superintendent of SHISD. One component of the search process is to solicit input from staff, parents, and community members as to the Qualifications and Characteristics desired in the next Superintendent. Your input is requested and can be submitted via the web based survey accessed on the SHISD webpage and Facebook. The survey not only ask for the professional and personal Qualifications and Characteristics desired in the next Superintendent, but also inquires as to what are the strengths of SHISD (what’s good) and what concerns or challenges face SHISD (what needs attention). The survey will be open through Friday, January 4, 2019.
- Is the survey anonymous? Yes, all responses go directly to TASB offices in Austin. No one at SHISD has access to responders identifiable information.
- What happens to survey responses? All responses will be delivered to SHISD Trustees in a report format. Trustees will see all responses. The new Superintendent will also be given a copy of the report with all responses. This is very useful information to the new Superintendent as it will provide valuable information on where he/she needs to focus their time and energy.
Click here to access the Leadership Profile Questionnaire.
Should you prefer to provide your input in person, TASB staff will conduct on site meetings December 19, 2018 for that purpose. The meeting schedule is as follows:
· 8:30 am: SHISD Administrators. Meeting location Central Office
· 5:00 pm: All SHISD Staff. Meeting location L L Williamson Auditorium
· 6:00 pm: Community. Meeting location L L Williamson Auditorium
Let me encourage you to take a few minutes to complete the survey or attend the on site meeting. It really is useful information TASB ESS and Trustees utilize during the search process.

It has been 20 years since the world-weary Ulysses last saw his beautiful wife (Penelope), their toddler son (Telemachus), and his dad (Laertes). His Christmas Eve homecoming, however, is not only thwarted by being on the stand-by list at a snow-choked airport but also trying to evade no shortage of enemies that can’t afford to let him get away. On the home front, Ulysses’ business interests are under threat of a hostile takeover by General Poseidon and two henchmen, Antinous and Eurymachus – both of whom have matrimonial designs on Penelope. Fortunately, our hero has a welcome assist from Athena (his travel agent) and Helen (a beautiful ticket agent) but will their intervention be enough to keep him out of the clutches of the conniving Calypso?
