Amino acids are the natural monomers of proteins. Proteins are polymers of amino acids and aren't naturally occurring, Animals and humans make them. The body used protein to build and repair bodily tissue.
A Monosaccharide is a monomer for Carbohydrates. Starch, Glycogen, Cellulose, ETC....
Are all long polymers of monosaccharides. Carbohydrates produce energy for the body.
Glycerol is the name of the monomers for lipids. The polymers are nucleic acids. Lipids store extra fat so when your body needs the energy it can take it from the stock pile.
