Parent Input Welcome For 2022-2023

We are in the process of preparing classes for the 2022-2023 school year. Our goal is to create classes that are balanced based on student strengths and needs. Report card grades, teacher input, parent input and state test scores are used to assure that we are creating balanced classes.

In addition, we look to shuffle classes from one grade level to the next to assure that students continually have an opportunity to work with new students. Central teachers will review each class list thoroughly and will carefully consider how students work together and we will make adjustments to the class lists.

As we start the student placement process, we welcome parent input into this process. If there are specific needs or past history that should be considered and may contribute to the success of your student, we want to consider that information in the placement process. Our goal is to create the most balanced classes as possible while meeting student needs and will take all input into consideration. Please return your input letter no later than Friday, April 29.

Shared Food items at school

The policy adopted by the Snohomish School District, under the guidelines of the Snohomish Health District, require any food items being brought to school to be shared (such as birthday treats) be both store bought and individually pre-packaged.

If your child has a birthday or you wish to bring a special treat for the class, please check with your child's teacher ahead of time and be sure to stay within the guidelines set by the Snohomish School District. Some suggestions would be Rice Krispies Treats, Little Debbie's Cakes, Fruit Snacks or Gold Fish cracker packets that are individually wrapped.
