Superintendent Update
Caldwell Parish Schools
Greetings Team Caldwell!
During this 2nd nine weeks, I challenge each one of you to stop feeling like your treading water or just "getting through the day." Make a decision to set some personal goals and focus on moving forward with your students. Get excited about your curriculum! Find new ways to reach students, and declare that nothing--even a pandemic or natural disaster--will stop you from being the best you can be and making the most out of 2020-2021!
Thanks for all you do for our students!
Nicki McCann, Superintendent

Teacher Spotlights
Early Childhood Spotlight
Every morning the classes at the Pre-K Center start their day "The Brain Smart Way" with expectations and procedures. As teachers have studied brain development through Conscious Discipline they have learned that movement is so important to get those young brains ready to learn!! You will see two teachers who greet their students and quickly and efficiently get through procedures to get the day started!

Student Support Spotlight
Mrs. Simons’s class has been hard at work! Even though they cannot leave campus for on the job training, Mrs. Simons’s class has found a way to give back to their school community. These boys have been working on the school grounds and making CPHS look amazing! We are so proud of their hard work.

Social Emotional Tips for Teachers & Staff
Self-Care for Educators
In today’s society, it is extremely difficult to completely unplug, even when taking some time for ourselves. Who doesn’t enjoy a good binge watching splurge on Netflix, Hulu, or Prime? When was the last time you didn’t want to just spend an evening shopping or catching up on the news on your Kindle or IPad? Even though it may seem like completely walking away from technology is a “pipe dream”, it is sometimes necessary to reboot and reset your mind. No matter how you choose to relax, it is important to periodically remove yourself physically, mentally, and emotionally from the challenges of being an educator.
The following links provide some activities to assist with maintaining a healthy balance between work responsibilities and personal self - care:
