- Our super Cooper Readers are doing a great job with the Frosty Bookworm Challenge! So far Mrs. Fiore's class leads the pack with the most minutes read. Mrs. Suarez's class is in 2nd place and Mrs. Klifto's class is not far behind! More information can be found in your child’s Google Classroom. Remember, the more you read at your "just right" level, the better reader you become! Find texts that inspire you!
- Next PTA Meeting is on 1/26/21 @ 6:00pm - all parents are welcome.

Announcements:
Martin Luther King Day of Service
On Monday January 18, 2021 schools will be closed as we honor Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.'s message of equity, peace and service to others. Our Cooper Students are partnering with the PTA to create hygiene kits to be distributed to those in need through the organization Community SJP. We encourage families to work together on these kits and open the door for conversation with your children about those in need and how we can show good citizenship by helping others.

Remember the words of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., "Everybody can be great...because anybody can serve!"

In preparation for our next No Place for Hate project, our students have been exploring the theme, “My Identity is my Superpower”. In our Monday SEL lesson, students began to discuss the pieces of themselves that make up their individual identities. Students were encouraged to speak with their families about their culture, traditions, religion, families, and other topics that make up their “superpower”. Our goal is guide students in recognizing and celebrating the characteristics that make them the wonderful children they are!
