SAFETY AT EV
We completed the mock lock down drills with grades 2, 4, and 5 students and staff. Students practiced exterior and interior threat lock down drills as if they were at lunch or recess. Students know the procedures if someone dangerous, unsafe, or unexpected is outside of EV or inside of EV. The main messages that students heard were to remain calm and to follow adult directions.
This week, we had a visit from a security assessment team to determine the safety and security of our building and practices at East Vincent. The team will share the report once it is completed. I'll share some of the report findings with you via the Weekly WOW.
