The battle of Fort Sumter was the first battle of the civil war between the union soldiers and the confederate rebel troops. Robert Anderson and his 85 soldiers held a defensive fight against P.G.T Beauregard and his 500 confederate soldiers in South Carolina.

Outcome
the battle of fort Sumter turned to be a defeat for the union and a win for the confederacy. although there was a lot of shots fired no one suffered from casualties. the only kill was a confederate horse.
