Glenhope Book Fair

Students went to the library today to preview the book fair and brought home a wish list. If you'd like for your child to purchase any books, you can send money with them next week. I also picked out a few books for our classroom library book fair wishlist which is kept in the library.

Glenhope Thanksgiving Food and Pajama Drive

We are sponsoring a food drive for GRACE to help families in our community as well as a pajama drive for a local homeless shelter through the Pajama Project and Scholastic. The drive will run November 9-18.

Our grade level has been asked to bring gravy (instant or canned), sugar, and new pajamas size Youth S- Youth M. Please consider bringing one or more of these items. Donations may be dropped off in the designated boxes in the front hallway.

If we meet our school wide goal of collecting 300 pairs of new pajamas, students will get to have another pajama day! Thank you for helping us make a difference for families in need!

Heritage Day

A note went home about the optional project students could do for Heritage Day. Due to the time constraint, I am not requiring everyone to complete it, however, I would love if many students came with some information to share.

Students will be sharing their projects about family heritage on Friday, November 20 between 11:50 and 12:50.

On Heritage Day students will also go to the gym during their specials time to learn about different countries represented in our school.

2nd Grade Field Trip

If you have not already returned your field trip form, please do so by Monday, November 16.

Materials for the Classroom

We have run out of masking tape and are running low on snacks (some students rarely bring a snack, but take a snack out of the container every day that they do not bring one). If you are able to send in a roll or two of masking tape or some peanut-free snacks, we would appreciate it!

Thank you!

Classroom Wishlist

If you'd like to purchase items for our classroom, you can check out our Amazon Wishlist. After talking with students, I've added books they'd like to see in our classroom library as well as other items I know we will need throughout the year.
