Indroducing the Titanic.
The Titanic was built 14 years after the book the "The Titan" stating the future of the popular ship we know about.Building the ship had some challenges and successes bringing it to another side of history.we now know that the tragedy of the Titanic could have been prevented if only one knew how to respond to the warnings given.
when did it come to life?
The Titanic's construction started March 9, 1909, but didn't start being built until May 31, 1911. It was built in Belfast, north Ireland.
who made it?
It was designed by James Andrews (to the right), and built by Harland and Wolff, ship builders for White Star Line.
Why did it take so many people?
Being that the Titanic was 882 feet and 9 inches, weighing 52,310 tons it took over 3 years to build. With nearly 3,000 people helping. Yet while making the ship 8 deaths occured.
What was it made of?
The Titanic's mishap with the iceberg had to do with the fact that it was made of rivets. Rivets are lower-grade metals that were more brittle.
More lifes could have been saved.
More lives would have been saved if the vessel had been constructed with better materials.
