About Salsa
The name of my music genre is called Salsa, a popular form of social dance that originated in New York with strong influences from Latin America, particularly in Cuba and Puerto Rico. The salsa music originated in Eastern Cuba in 1920. It is mostly played in spanish speaking countries, like Puerto Rico and Cuba by Hispanic people. The salsa music is associated with hispanic people mostly in Cuba or Puerto Rico
Instruments
The instruments that are used in this type of music are horn-based son conjunto or the string-based charanga. The traditional form of Salsa music instruments have congas, bongos, bass, piano, tres, a horn section, and some have small hand-held percussion instruments like claves, guĂro, or maracas.
Famous Artists of Salsa and songs
Some famous people are Tito Puente, Celia Cruz, Ray Barretto, Marc Anthony and Mongo Santamaria. Some songs that are famous are Quimbara, La Vida Es Un Carnaval, Cali Pachanguero, Vivir Mi Vida and Mi gente.
