Respiratory System
By Jack Sublett
I researched the respiratory system. The respiratory system makes energy, makes carbon dioxide, takes in oxygen, and lets you talk. This system works with the circulatory system to spread blood and oxygen through your body. It works with the digestive system to make cells, and works with the skeletal system to protect and help the lungs function. You couldn't live without your respiratory system because you wouldn't be able to breathe or talk. As far as medical advancements go for the respiratory system, doctors are learning to make and use artificial lungs.
Sinuses
The Sinuses help filter air that goes into your nose, and also contains blood necessary to live. There are also diseases that your sinus can contract like a sinus infection.
Some other organs in the system
The nose
The nose brings in air for you to breathe. It is very important for your living process.
Diaphragm
The diaphragm expands and contracts your chest so that it doesn't fracture or break from too much oxygen. It is also very influential in how you talk.
Larynx
The larynx is what some people like to call the voice box, which helps you talk.
that's just some of the organs.
The Lungs
I studied the lungs for my organ. The Lungs make you breathe. The type of cells in the lungs is the animal cells. The lungs breathe for you. They can also remove and absorb anesthetic gases like nitrous oxide. The Lungs can store many things, and it can absorb or take away things like alcohol.Pneumonia is in the Lungs. Some symptoms of pneumonia are shortness of breath, a cough, and chest pain. A cause of it is being exposed to too much gas and dirt, and to treat it, you have to take antibiotics and let it work itself out. To keep everything healthy, you should stay away from dangerous chemicals and substances.
Respiratory system working together with other systems
The respiratory system works together with the circulatory to spread blood and oxygen through your body. It works with the digestive system to make cells, and it works with the skeletal system to protect and help the lungs function.
